Please note, this car is a lovely project for someone, as the car will need attention, to bring it up to an immaculate condition, which is why this will be reasonably priced at £55,995, or all work can be completed with a new price of £64,995 For any more information or to discuss this car, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The Ferrari 308GTS is a 2.9 Litre (2,927cc) its F106 AB V8 Engine was equipped with four twin-choke Weber 40DCNF carburettors and a single coil ignition. Which produces 237bhp at 6,600rpm. The 308GTS can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 6.5 seconds, with a top speed of 151 mph, which is rather impressive for a car of this era. With the 308GTS' Predecessor being the Dino 246 GT/GTS.
This car is originally an American spec 308GTS, delivered new in Texas in May 1978, then to it's second owner which owned the car until 2005 and had been in a Texas collection until 2014 and being first Registered in the UK on the 1st March 2015.
The car is still in great condition, also fitted with 7.5 x 14 Cromodora Wheels, the Front and Rear engine bays are also original, with spare assembly and retraining straps in the luggage comparment, which contains the original tool and emergency roll. Brochures, manual, radio.
This car had a new Clutch service in 2013, with little mileage since. Recently in May 2015 our car has had full engine out service, with new belts fitted, belt bearings, new fluids and also a thorough checkover. With 190 compression on all cylinders. Ferrari Main Agent carried out the work.
This car is presented to you in Blue Sera Metallic, which is a very rarely seen colour of a 308GTS.
The interior is upholstered in Sicuro Blue, this truly complements the Blue Metallic exterior.
This vehicle only has one service on record, which is receipts of a major service that was completed recently, which included Cambelt and Major Service, New Clutch Kit Fitted, Cam Cover Gaskets, Engine Mount, Exhaust Flange and Gaskets, Complete set of Front Suspension Bushes, Shock Bush and Drop Link Bushes, Remanufacture Fuel Lines, Remanufacture Brake Lines. The Pininfarina-styled Ferrari 308 GTB was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 1975 as a supplement to the Bertone-shaped 2+2 Dino 308 GT4 and a direct replacement for the 2-seater Dino 246.
Its F106 AB V8 engine was equipped with four twin-choke Weber 40DCNF carburettors and single coil ignition. European versions produced 255 PS (188 kW; 252 bhp) at 6600 rpm (7700 rpm redline), but American versions were down to 240 PS (177 kW; 237 bhp) at 6,600 rpm due to emissions control devices. European specification cars used dry sump lubrication. Cars destined to the Australian, Japanese and US market were fitted with a conventional wet sump engine from the GT4.
