Overview
Announced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the 991.1 GT3 RS, became the flagship of the 911 range until the release of the GT2 RS. Regarded as one of the finest 911's ever produced. The aim of the project was to make race car fit for the road, a feat summed up by the blistering Nordschleife lap time it posted at just 7 minutes 20 seconds. The naturally aspirated 4.0 litre engine, produced an impressive 439hp, was then combined with ruthless weight savings, thanks use of a magnesium roof, thin polycarbonate rear windows, carbon fibre wings and an hugely impressive aerodynamic package, most noticeably the monstrous rear wing and louvres, these give the car am huge amount of road presence but also are able to produce some 330kg of downforce at 186mph. Porsche managed to build not only one of the finest 911's ever but a certain future classic
This particular example was supplied new to the U.K in January 2016, finished in the eye-catching Ultra Violet, which has remained in exemplary cosmetic condition thanks to two very careful owners. The 20" lightweight allows painted in satin grey a subtle contrast against the bright paintwork, behind these sit the yellow calliper designating the brakes as PCCB's. On the interior the sports bucket seats are trimmed in black leather and Alcantara with contrasting GT Silver stitching. Racing yellow seat belts compliments the brake callipers perfectly. For added enjoyment of the wonderful 4.0 litre engine, the car has been fitted with a brooks exhaust system, however if required the original can be fitted.
