Overview
Amari Supercars are delighted to present this Mercedes-AMG G 63 4x4², a limited special model specified through the G Manufaktur programme.
The paint does much of the work here. Manufaktur Opalite White Bright sets off the black AMG Night Package II details, wide arches and red brake callipers, and makes the sheer height of the car far easier to appreciate. Inside, macchiato beige runs well beyond the seats, continuing to the Microcut roof liner, the Manufaktur seat belts and the edging on the AMG floor mats, with espresso brown across the dashboard adding depth.
Portal axles are what separate a 4x4² from a regular G 63. By setting the wheels below the line of the axles they lift the whole car, giving 351mm of ground clearance and a 910mm wading depth, and they work alongside independent suspension rather than a solid front axle. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged V8 with 577 bhp and 627 lb ft, far more performance than any off-roader needs.
Macchiato leather and portal axles have no business being on the same car, and that is exactly the appeal.
