The McLaren 788HS

The Most Extreme Yet

McLaren has unveiled the 788HS, the most extreme model ever created in its Super Series lineup, confirming it will serve as the 'extraordinary finale' to the range that first debuted in 2017.

Power Without Compromise

Powering the 788HS is McLaren's 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, equipped with lightweight forged pistons, ultra-low inertia twin-scroll turbochargers and twin fuel pumps. The result is an impressive 788PS and 800Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Super Series model McLaren has ever produced. Weighing just 1,265kg (dry), the 788HS boasts an exceptional power-to-weight ratio of 623PS per tonne, placing it at the sharp end of the supercar segment. Power is sent to the rear wheels via McLaren's seven-speed Seamless Shift Gearbox, delivering razor-sharp gear changes and relentless acceleration.

Aerodynamics Perfected

Developed exclusively for the 788HS, McLaren's advanced aerodynamic package is designed to maximise performance at high speed. It features a multi-zone carbon fibre front splitter, an S-Duct bonnet, a raised active rear spoiler, a louvred under-wing panel and a Formula 1-inspired rear diffuser. Working together, these elements generate 10% more downforce than the 765LT, delivering greater high-speed stability, sharper handling and increased driver confidence.

The aerodynamic enhancements are complemented by McLaren's lightweight carbon-fibre Monocage III chassis and ultra-light forged centre-lock wheels. The result is a supercar that combines exceptional composure and precision on track with the balance and everyday usability that have become hallmarks of the McLaren brand.

Highly Exclusive

With production limited to just 100 coupés and a further 100 Spiders, this is far from a high-volume model. Prospective buyers shouldn't expect an easy route to ownership either—unless you're already a valued client with an established relationship at your local dealership, securing an allocation is likely to prove exceptionally difficult.
