Lamborghini has officially unveiled the new Revuelto SV, bringing the legendary Super Veloce nameplate to its V12 hybrid flagship.

Lamborghini has taken the wraps off the car enthusiasts have been waiting for. Making its world debut today at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, the new Revuelto SV represents the most focused and aggressive version yet of Lamborghini's V12 hybrid supercar.

And, as you would expect from anything wearing those two famous letters, it isn't simply a Revuelto with a few cosmetic upgrades.

The SV – Super Veloce, meaning "super fast" – has been developed with one clear objective: to make the Revuelto faster, sharper and considerably more capable when the road turns into a circuit.

The Revuelto, Turned Up

The standard Revuelto was already a major moment for Lamborghini. Its 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 sits at the heart of a sophisticated plug-in hybrid system, combining traditional Lamborghini drama with modern electrification.

The Revuelto SV has been engineered around increased aerodynamic performance, sharper chassis dynamics and a stronger focus on outright track ability.

Before today's public unveiling, Lamborghini took a camouflaged development car to Germany's Hockenheimring, where factory driver Marco Mapelli recorded a 1:41.6 lap. Lamborghini describes this as a new production-car lap record for the circuit.

That achievement tells us far more about the SV than a set of teaser photographs ever could.

This isn't simply a more powerful Revuelto designed to look intimidating outside a nightclub. Lamborghini has clearly put serious effort into making the SV work at speed, with aerodynamic efficiency, mechanical grip and chassis balance becoming just as important as straight-line performance.

A Much More Aggressive Design

Visually, the Revuelto SV is unmistakable.

The car gains a far more aggressive aerodynamic package, including a large fixed rear wing, revised front-end treatment, extended side skirts and a much more substantial rear diffuser.

It follows the traditional Lamborghini SV recipe perfectly: take an already dramatic supercar and make it look as though it belongs on a starting grid rather than a showroom floor.

The fixed rear wing is perhaps the most obvious change, immediately distinguishing the SV from the regular Revuelto and giving the car a much more serious track-focused character.

The V12 Still Takes Centre Stage

Despite Lamborghini's increasing move towards electrification, the Revuelto SV remains proudly centred around its naturally aspirated V12.

That matters.

The Revuelto was Lamborghini's answer to the question of whether electrification could coexist with the character of a traditional Lamborghini V12. The answer was emphatically yes. The SV now takes that same philosophy and adds the intensity expected from Lamborghini's most performance-focused models.

The exact final output and performance figures make today's unveiling particularly significant, but one thing is already obvious: this is intended to be the ultimate driver's version of the Revuelto.

The Revuelto SV also has a considerable reputation to live up to.

The Murciélago SV, Aventador SV and Aventador SVJ have all become icons in their own right, with Lamborghini using the Super Veloce badge to mark its most uncompromising V12 road cars.

Now, the Revuelto SV carries that legacy into the hybrid era.

That makes this more than simply another derivative of Lamborghini's current flagship. It is the car that demonstrates what Lamborghini can achieve when it takes its new-generation V12 hybrid architecture and removes as many compromises as possible.

The regular Revuelto is already a supercar capable of extraordinary performance. The SV is something different.
