Overview

The whole new Porsche 992 is the eighth generation of the rear engine sports car, produced by the German automobile manufacturer. This was officially introduced at the Porsche Experience Centre, Los Angeles in November 2018, having only recently launched in the European markets in early 2019.

The 992 has a wide rear wheel arches which will be apart of all the models in the 992 series. Compared to its predecessor, the 992 is 45mm (1.8inch) Wider and now uses aluminium body panels. Also has a new rear bumper with rather noticeable, larger exhaust tips than its predecessor. The front of the new 992 is designed to imitate an early 911 in a now modern fashion. Other key features include a retractable rear spoiler (for specific models), electrical pop-out door handles, LED headlights and a large, rather distinctive rear tail light, giving this new Porsche a more futurist look. The interior also boasts from a 10.9-inch display with Porsche Communication Management (PCM), two 7-inch digital displays within the Instrument Cluster and an analogue tachometer.

The engines have piezo injection, a revised intake system. The only available transmission, as of yet, is an 8-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission (PDK)
